This morning we were up so early that we sat outside and watched the sun rise over Lake Victoria. In that moment I was reminded that an incredible morning sky only lasts for a few minutes, but fades into light that will last all day. A sunrise is short but it ends to make way for so many hours of light.

I’m feeling lots of parellels to this right now- my time in Africa being over for now, but fading into into a beautiful time at home, and to a friend’s life ending quicker than we had imagined, but transitioning into the amazing promise of Eternity with our Saviour. As surely as the sun rises, you’ll come to us.
